Calling all UK secretaries, office managers, administrative staff and PAs - now you have your own site, just for you!
Well, in fact, DeskDemon was launched as long ago as August, 2000 and has been through a couple of changes since then but certainly deserves to be better known.
The idea of the site is to provide a range of useful services and tools for running an office all in one place and to provide a pleasant and worthwhile place to stop during the day for a few moments relaxation.
There is so much content available that you really have to take a look yourself but it covers more or less most of the jobs that you would want (or expect) to have to do at work from job hunting to training sessions online to working out tax problems.

This area includes links to a wide variety of useful and essential resources such as transportation schedules, holidays around the world, travel and general information. In fact, it is worth keeping this site bookmarked just to have this information in one easy-to-get-at place!
But it isn't just helpful tools, for there are a host of useful and informative articles covering most aspects of office life, including the more enjoyable articles in the 'Lifestyle' section.
Creating an account (which is free) allows you to receive a useful monthly email and gives you access to a range of features like a free email address and various training packages along with job vacancies.
In use, the content seems well presented and the site slick. Navigation was intuitive and it was easy to find wanted pages. There is a search function which uses the Google search engine and which worked well and very quickly and which produced the results in a separate tab to allow you to keep the results page open as well.
This is a pleasing site which looks good and seems to work quickly and efficiently and, if you work in any form of office, we think it is well worth a visit and a bookmark.

DeskDemon is a great website. Not just for PAs but for anyone who works in the office. It is full of useful tools, you get free email, and the articles are helpful. I think it as free training without the training. I do like this site and felt compelled to at my comment.
I came across DeskDemon a few years ago by pure coincedence. At first I could not understand what was all the fuss about, it was full with a bunch of links for calculators and calendars that I had on my PC in the first place. Also their info was scattered all over and I could never find what I was looking for. Now let me come to the good part: I discovered their amazing magazine PA ENTERPRISE. This magazine is targeted for PAs, Secretaries and Office professional, its full of amazing articles, the design is FAB and it is so appealing to the eye. (I wait for my copy eagerly every month that is delivered to my inbox). Other useful benefits include a monthly newsletter 'Whats New' that tells what is new on the website. OOOOOPS almost forgot to mention their great competitions and sampling campaigns, great for suckers like me who love to colect freebies. All in all, excellent effort from the Deskdemon team and I think once you check it out you will fall in love with it.
